Due to budget cuts at U.S. EPA, the San Francisco Estuary Project will not be able to offer these grants this year (2007). We do anticipate that the program will return, fully funded, in 2008. Please check this web site after August 1, 2008. Proposals would be due in early October, 2008.

The Small Grants Program provides funds ranging from $3,000 to $10,000 to any Bay Area resident, organization, school, or public agency. SFEP seeks proposals for projects that

• educate and involve people in ways to improve the health of the Estuary and its watershed;
• restore and protect existing wetland, riparian or wildlife habitats; or
• monitor the health of fish and wildlife populations.
